Chopping a Pineapple

Something tells me Blossom frowns upon ponies littering on the beach. Good thing Blitz has a thick head.

With this comic, I wanted to do a little more with exterior backgrounds, specifically, making them busier. That meant choosing a more public area, hence, right at the beach front. As usual, I wasn't able to place all my ideas onto the panels. For example, the road was supposed to continue beyond the two shops, but the perspective of everything I created in the rear looked funky, so I improvised with the fence, and the sign. The latter was actually a nice surprise, since it forced me to think about Brayside Beach's general layout. 

The Soul Eater influence was also a surprise, since it wasn't part of the plan, until I pondered about the second to last panel. Initially, I was going to vector the actual strike, but I wasn't sure I could make it look convincing. Good thing Soul Eater was on Adult Swim, and that I had already watched it about two years ago. Moreso, Blossom and Maka aren't that far off in terms of personality, so it's not one of those off-character moments for her. Win, win!
